DoE strongly supports staff receiving seasonal influenza (flu) vaccinations. It is recommended principals and line managers begin to arrange vaccinations in preparation for the 2019 flu season. The cost of vaccinations is to be met from school or directorate budgets.
The Department of Health encourages individuals to get vaccinated and practise good hygiene to reduce the risk of contracting and spreading influenza in school and office environments.
