Class sizes survey

As we settle into 2023 and the introduction of Free in 2023 it is timely that we visit the impact this is having on class sizes, along with other factors.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. From this information we can start to formulate an overview of any issues to assist us with initiating any changes, where necessary.

The survey should take approximately five minutes to complete.

Please encourage your colleagues, both members and non-members, to complete the survey to provide a broad picture of the situation in our colleges.

Implementation guidelines - GA21

Guidelines for the implementation of the TAFE Lecturers General Agreement 2021 can be found here.

These guidelines provide information on intent, and agreed understandings, for the implementation of existing, new and amended provisions negotiated for the Western Australian TAFE Lecturers’ General Agreement 2021 .

Education and training

Understanding Employment Law Frameworks for TAFE Lecturers (TUT)
Thursday 6 April, 9am - 4.30pm

The course will outline the employment law framework and will include information around common law, legislation, awards and agreements and where TAFE sits in the Industrial Relations System.

You will meet and work with the SSTUWA Legal Services Team and learn about what they do including the role of advocates and case managers. Know what legal services the SSTUWA offers to members and how to access them.

We invite regional and metro, 2023 elected union and deputy representatives, committee members and branch JCCs to register for this exciting opportunity. Funding for accommodation and travel will be considered for regional delegates.
