Executive is well aware of the changes in circumstances since the AiP was reached and is also aware of the pressures on government to potentially further increase public sector wages. The SSTUWA will continue to work with the Public Sector Alliance towards achieving that goal.
The SSTUWA has written to the Industrial Relations Minister seeking a written undertaking that any changes that may occur to wages policy will be passed on to teachers. The union has asked that this undertaking be provided to Executive in time for its meeting on Friday 24 June.
