The SSTUWA has received an offer from the Department of Education of terms for a replacement General Agreement that falls a long way short of our claims.

Members should note that negotiations are continuing. Executive is also considering a range of possible new directives in addition to those currently in place. The current directives should continue to be enacted. Members will be informed of any progress or additional directives via Enews and social media.
COVID-19 latest
The SSTUWA continues to lobby for changes and improvements to measures to keep education staff safe during the pandemic. In particular we are asking for changes to the way COVID-19 leave is accessed. We are also seeking support for educators from parents and the community at large as schools try to implement new protocols, often on very short notice.
