As part of the Public Sector Alliance (PSA), the SSTUWA is urging the state government to recognise the pressure its wages policy has put on all public servants as cost of living pressures continue to mount. Alliance unions will be rallying outside Parliament House on 17 August. The SSTUWA will be in attendance. We encourage members on leave, part-time workers and any retired members to join the SSTUWA delegation. More details here.
Regional members and supporters can attend one of five regional rallies being organised by UWU. These events run from 11.45am to 1.45pm in the following places:
Karratha – The Quad
Broome – police station
Bunbury – Anzac Park
Albany – Town Square
Geraldton – Lara Dalton’s office
Union reps and branches can support the Alliance rally from their workplaces by taking a #solidarityselfie. Get your group together, snap a pic and send it here or upload to your socials with #SSTUWA and #solidarityselfie. There have been significant changes won by the Alliance but the struggle continues.
Nominations are called for positions on the following SSTUWA Committee and delegates to UnionsWA:
UnionsWA Council (1 year term)
