At such a busy time a request for assistance with a survey may not be ideal. However, the SSTUWA believes there needs to be a serious effort to quantify the impact of the teacher shortages that have been exacerbated by COVID-19.
We are therefore asking school leaders and union reps (or in some cases both) to complete the accompanying survey to the best of their ability.
This information will assist in quantifying the full extent of the teacher shortage problem and the effects it is having on the day-to-day delivery in schools.
The survey contains no workplace or individual identification as the intent is to get a picture of the broader issue rather than single out individual workplaces.
Dates of reference: Questions in this survey should be responded to for the period of 19 July to 5 August (Weeks 1-3) only, except for questions 20 and 21.
Survey closes: 4pm, 19 August
Thank you for your contribution.
Note: survey links on this page are read-only. School leaders and union reps wishing to complete the survey should check their union-affiliated inbox and follow the links on the original eNews.
We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
