Excursions in the Perth Cultural Centre
Date: Wednesday, March 9, 2016
Time: 2.30pm sharp to 4.30pm
Venue: State Library of WA, 25 Francis Street, Perth
Cost: Free
RSVP: Registrations close Monday 29 February
Audience: Student teacher members of the SSTUWA, who are in their final year of a Bachelor of Education, or who are completing their Diploma of Education.
You are invited to come along to the Perth Cultural Centre and take the mystery and confusion out of planning excursions for your future classes. The State Library of WA and the Art Gallery of WA will guide you through the process required to complete the Department of Education's school excursion documentation - and show you where to access this information.
You'll be given a taste of the education programs available for your students on excursions at both venues and you will receive a deeper understanding of the beneficial impact that excursions have on your students' learning.
The SSTUWA Growth Team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about your membership and to inform you about the support available through the New Educator Network.
You must register to attend this event, to register email Sara Wiggins, SSTUWA Growth Team Officer, at swiggins@sstuwa.org.au
We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
